The UPPCS UP Special Syllabus has been introduced by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC)in 2023. It will have 2 papers.

The replacement of 2 Optional Papers with 2 UP Special papers in UPPCS Mains, starting from 2023, is a massive shift.

•  The Old syllabus had 2 papers of an Optional paper, which you had to choose. These have been removed
• The 2 UP papers are now included in their place.
• All other papers remain the same, GS papers 1-4 being almost as in UPSC CSE.
• The new “UP Special” papers will focus on
  • History and culture of UP
  • Polity, security and administration of UP
  • Economy of UP
  • Geography and environment of UP
  • Current affairs of UP
  • Other related aspects
